Maritus's mother is driving me mad! She's a very nice lady, but she has a way of asking questions that starts to feel like an inquisition. I'm sure she thinks she's just showing an interest and drawing me out, but I don't know why she hasn't noticed that the more questions she asks, the more monosyllabic my answers become.

And then a few minutes later she asks the same question again, in almost the same words, which lends credence to my suspicion that she doesn't actually listen to the answers.
