The squirrels are scampering around in the Chinese Elm that overhangs our property, biting the twigs off the ends of the branches and dropping them to the ground. Why, squirrels, why?
I sometimes hear squirrels (or possibly other critters) on our roof, but I think it must be redwood cones they're juggling, because we don't have any oaks nearby.
Our neighbors used to have a persimmon tree (they cut it down last year), and I have seen squirrels running along the top of the fence carrying persimmons much larger than their heads!
