Alternatively (or additionally), you can control the display size of images! The code is <img src="your picture url goes here" width="a number" height="a number" alt="descriptive text for screenreaders goes here" />
You can usually find the dimensions of a photo by looking at its property tab in your file directory, and then just divide until you get more reasonable-looking numbers. For example, I've been using width="460" height="345" for my cell phone photos, so any photo post on my journal in the last couple months will have those dimensions. :)
Oh, putting things under a cut makes perfect sense. Thanks for the suggestion. I always seem to forget about putting things under a cut until after the fact.
I don't think I can change the sizes of the pictures without redoing all the posts from scratch, which I don't feel like doing, but at least they'll be out of out of the way unless people really want to look at them.
I really enjoyed looking at all the pictures! Norway is such a beautiful country and I think my favorites are all the landscape ones with the skies, mountains, valleys and lakes. Even after fires, they rebuilt their buildings so beautifully and there's a nice juxtaposition between the simple, traditional wooden houses and the glass and steel structures of modern buildings.
