My own story, of course, I cannot talk about until reveal. I'm a little concerned because my recipient hasn't said anything yet. Sigh. Go, TE, go and do something else and DON'T WORRY. People like your story. Really, they do.

And sometimes, recipients never do comment. The person I wrote that Susan fic for a few years back never commented. I ended up checking on their other gifts from other exchanges, and they comment maybe one time in three or four.

But I still wonder if they hated the story because someone wrote them a treat for that exchange and they did comment on that. I don't know...

I'm sorry that happened to you. Not responding does seem like a failure of basic politeness.

I went and looked at my recipient's previous gifts, and they do seem to have a spotty record of responding, so I'm going to try not to worry about it. I've already gotten some nice comments from people whose opinions I value, and that makes me feel good.
