Though... you had "smh". If you meant Sydney Morning Herald, they're in the clear (and aren't Murdoch). It was The Australian.

I just learned smh recently. It means "shaking my head." You can also insert "damn" and make it smdh. I don't use these shorthand expressions often, but in this case...

The Syndey Morning Herald had a pretty good response.
