Please don't marry this guy. He's obviously gay and is marrying you either as a beard or because he thinks it will make him straight. It's understandable that you don't realize this, because you're a sheltered girl of the 1940's and know nothing about sex. On the other hand, you do know that he's a controlling asshole. He will make you miserable, and you will blame yourself. Please run away, at the altar if necessary. Thanks.

(OMG. How many times have I wanted to say that or something similar [ie,"You're gay and it won't work."] to a character? And they never listen.)

Luckily I didn't have to tell another character that she was pregnant for more than a chapter or so before she realized it herself.
